Monthly Newsletter Hongongoi (July) 2007 updated 30th July Te Haerenga Te haerenga 2007 has now come to completion. We have much to thank God for. He has been faithful, He has provided and many fruit has within the lives of many. We had a team of 45 go to Hawaii. The schedule consisted of cultural exchangeing with the local Hawaiian people at schools, kids programmes, on native homelands, organizations. We did community work, toured the Island, church services, we had speakers come to impart to us, the kids went to a camp and youth had a few days with some adults, performed at a 4th July concert, team members got baptised and we all got to go to a Luau! It was an awesome time both phase 1 & 2and huge changes made. Everyone is looking forward to the next one and team keeps growing.
We had our last time together this past weekend (28th July) sharing highlights, eating together and watching power point presentations. It was really a great time together (no one wanted to go home) Multiplying: As mentioned before in terms of its expansion, we have been looking for mid wives to give birth to Te Haerenga in other areas where needed. We have formulated a core team of national people to help with its growth. Next year there will be at least 2 Te Haerenga programmes run.
Next Te Haerenga?: Right now we have in mind to run 2 Te haerenga programmes (1 in Tauranga and the other in Kawhia) Dates will be confirmed in the next 2 weeks.
Te Haerenga 2nd level: We will also be running 2nd level Te Haerenga programmes for those who have done the first one. The second level gatherings have a main focus for the weekend and is more indepth. We are having one in Sep, Oct and Nov of this year. The 3 weekends will be on Maori language, Hearing the voice of God and the 3rd one on relationships.

PQDTS is postponed till 2008 due to the lack of staff & students. Please pray that God would develope a team to take care of this area of ministry in Island Breeze NZ. what is PQDTS all about? >>more info Island Breeze Polynesian expressions. No performances as such.
Specifically Pacific (a new community initiative) Specifically Pacific (SP) is going well at 'Te Kura kaupapa Maori o Otepou' a local total immersion maori school. Term 1 we focused on Samoa, term 2 on Tahiti/Cook Islands and term 3 will be on Hawaii.
