PACIFIC
QUEST DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (PQDTS)
Daily Schedule detail
Quiet
Time
A “quite time” is simply a time for you to be alone with God.
It’s up to you and God how you want to spend this time.
Some examples of ways to spend your times are: reading the Bible,
praying, keeping a personal journal, personal worship time, taking a
walk and talking with God…and the list goes on!!
Your quiet time doesn’t even have to be quiet!
It’s just about you and God!

Intercession
Intercession is a time where we as Christians came come before God and
pray on behalf of others. It’s
a time to intercede for nations, people groups, families, friends,
governments and so on! It’s
simply a time of outward focused prayer believing God to intervene.

Worship
We believe that God is worthy of all our praise and devotion.
This is a time that we can lay aside all other cares and worries
of the day and corporately come before God and worship Him from our
hearts.

Lectures
The first phase of the DTS is the “Lecture Phase”.
In this phase we bring in some wonderful men and women of God to
impart to us as a school different principles of God’s character and
His heart for us as individuals and for the nations.
These are precious times, often interactive and always a great
catalyst to hearing God’s voice.

Café
Night
Café nights are one of our favorite activities.
This is a chance for the school to reach out to our community! We
invite anyone we can from the church, the local community, the Marae or
even just people we meet on the street!
We have heaps of fun making desserts and the students themselves
come up with the entertainment, showcasing their God given talents!
Our visiting lecturer for the week will most often share a short
message on what God has been speaking throughout the week.
It’s also an important time to share with the community about
Island Breeze as a ministry.

Going
Fishing
We believe God has called us to be “fishers of men”.
Therefore, we strive to get out and share the love of Christ with
as many people as we can. We
seek to do this in practical ways whether that be serving hot chocolate
on cold nights to kids on the streets or sharing the gospel openly with
those we meet. We know
it’s on God’s heart that none should perish and we want to do all we
can to help in achieving this goal!

Work
Duties
Work duties are a very important part of the DTS.
They not only function to keep the DTS environment running
smoothly, but they are also an important opportunity to apply the
teachings on godly character in a practical way.
As well, it’s usually a chance to get to know your fellow
students and staff better as you serve along side one another.
